This blog will serve as an archive on the games in which you play as a woman. Not only that, but it will also include information on the role women take in the story, how relevant to the story your womanhood is, and if there is any sapphic content.
Why am I doing this?
I am a woman, and find myself connecting with games a lot more if I am allowed to play as one. I like seeing games with interesting, dynamic, and well written women, and find it frustrating how hard it is to find out about games like that. I want to be able to help out other people like me, be they women or otherwise, who want to find good, interesting games that we can see ourselves in.
Why does this matter?
There are so many stories to be told from the perspective of womanhood. Women have been locked out of stories for a long, long time, and seeing yourself reflected in the media you enjoy is genuinely a powerful and moving feeling. That means that when games do take the step to make female protagonists, and do it well, they should be given recognition. Also, it just makes me feel better to play as a girl.
